Tikka T3 and T3x

Perfect for shaving even more weight off the Tikka T3x Superlite! This skeletonized titanium Tikka T3 and T3x bolt handle is similar to the factory handle but completely skeletonized with a slightly larger knob diameter of 0.9" (22.86mm) and slightly longer overall length of 3.076" (78.15mm) end-to-end. This handle takes significantly longer for us to manufacture than anything else in our range. Available either straight or swept back, for both right and left handed rifles. Weighs 0.57oz (16.2g) - less than half of the factory steel handle at 1.45oz (41.2g) !

We start with only the best quality grade 5 titanium alloy (Ti6Al4V) and CNC machine each handle to tight tolerances. We then deburr the handles in a ceramic media, clean, visually inspect and test fit each before packing. The resulting finish is a smooth non-glare titanium grey to dark-grey color. Some variations in shade of color occur between different production batches due to media changes.

Fitting Guide

The Tikka T3 / T3x bolt handle is dovetailed and slides into a slot in the bolt body. The shroud needs to be removed first followed by adjusting the firing pin assembly. The exact steps are documented in this youtube video.

Notes

Our bolt handle is designed for a tight fit with absolutely no movement. We test every single handle prior to packing in a specially made dovetail gage EDM wirecut to precise dimensions. Due to variations in the dimensions of the mating slot of the bolt body, some minor fitting may be required when fitting our handle to individual rifles. This will require filing or stoning one or both angles of our bolt handle to suit (identify which surface rubs against the slot). In nearly all these cases the dovetail slot in the bolt body isn't machined true. Best results are achieved when removing only a minimum amount of material and testing the fit regularly.
